Auto Jobbs left Whitstable, Kent for Seasalter to determine the cause of an electrical fault that impaired the operation of the left hand side mirror indicator on this E-Class Mercedes-Benz. Investigation found that when the mirrors were folded in and out, the indicator within the mirror was failing. The customer later informed Auto Jobbs how the same fault had occurred before, but with the right hand side mirror, which had resulted in the whole mirror assembly being replaced. However, after stripping down the malfunctioning mirror assembly, Auto Jobbs managed to locate and cure the cause. A repair that ended up costing only 10% of the price of a new mirror assembly - expense spared and another happy customer !
Auto Jobbs left Whitstable, Kent for Maidstone to investigate a ‘chuffing’ noise coming from the engine of this ml 270 cdi. Further investigation revealed that two of the engine’s fuel injectors were leaking – resulting in a mass build up of carbon, which in turn not only causes a bad odour, but also causes the injectors to seize into the head of the engine. Auto Jobbs managed to remove both of the leaky injectors and repair this fault, resulting in another happy customer and another healthy vehicle!
